Wohlfert Craft Distilling Starter Sugar Shine 750ml

Starter is Wohlfert Craft Distilling's sugar shine, an unaged spirit distilled from a sugar wash rather than a grain mash, which puts it closer to a light rum than to a corn moonshine. With no barrel in the picture, what comes off the still is what you get: faint molasses and cane sweetness on the nose, a clean, soft palate with a touch of vanilla, and a short finish with a warm bite at the end. It is a mixing spirit with a little more character than vodka. Serve it very cold with lemonade or ginger beer, or use it wherever a light rum would go.
