About this bottle
Wolfburn Morven is a lightly peated single malt Scotch whisky from Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso, mainland Scotland's most northerly distillery. It's non-chill filtered and bottled without added colour, built around a gentle wisp of peat rather than a full coastal smoke bomb. The nose carries soft smoke, honey and orchard fruit; the palate is smooth and malty with a light peat thread running underneath, easing into a warm, faintly smoky finish. It splits the difference between an unpeated Highland dram and an Islay heavyweight, making it a fair entry point for drinkers curious about peat but not ready to commit to it.
How to drink Wolfburn Morven
A splash of water opens the honey and smoke without drowning either. It also holds its own in a Rob Roy if you want the peat note to show through a cocktail.
