El Dorado Cask Strength Single Still Enmore 750ml

El Dorado Single Still Enmore is a Demerara rum from Guyana, distilled on the wooden Enmore continuous Coffey still, one of the last working wooden stills anywhere and now housed at Diamond Distillery. Wood-fed distillation leaves a heavier, more aromatic spirit than a steel column produces, and bottling at cask strength keeps all of it in the glass. The nose is dense with brown sugar, pipe tobacco and dried orange; the palate brings molasses, liquorice, roasted coffee and a distinct pencil-shavings note that comes straight off the still; the finish is long, dry and smoky. Sip it neat with a few drops of water, or build a rum old fashioned around it.
