Griffo Still Waldos Single Malt is the 2026 edition of an annual release from the family-run distillery in Petaluma, California, named for the Waldos — the Bay Area friends credited with coining 420. American single malt means one distillery and one grain, malted barley, with nowhere for a blend to hide the seams. Griffo matures its barrels in cool North Bay air, which slows the whole exchange between spirit and wood. Malted barley, vanilla and stone fruit open the nose; honey, cereal sweetness and baked pear follow over light oak; the finish is warm, dry and clean. Pour it neat and give it ten minutes in the glass.
