About this bottle
Señor Artesano Extra Añejo is the oldest expression in the Señor Artesano line, aged a minimum of three years in oak, the legal floor for the extra añejo category and well beyond what a standard añejo requires. That extended barrel time pushes it closer to a sipping brandy than a mixing tequila, with deep notes of caramel, dried fruit, vanilla, and oak spice layered over the base agave sweetness. It's bottled in the brand's 1-liter ceramic decanter and finishes long, warm, and woody. This one is for sipping, not shaking into a cocktail.
How to drink Señor Artesano Extra Añejo
Treat it like an aged spirit rather than a mixer: a neat pour in a small snifter or rocks glass lets the oak and dried-fruit notes show, and it's substantial enough to stand in for a nightcap normally poured with brandy or aged rum.

Questions about this bottle
How should I drink an extra añejo tequila?
Serve it neat in a small snifter or rocks glass, the way you would an aged brandy, to appreciate the oak and dried-fruit notes from extended barrel aging.
What makes 'extra añejo' different from añejo?
Extra añejo requires a minimum of three years in oak, at least a year longer than standard añejo, giving it deeper color and more pronounced barrel character.
