Dos Artes Reserva Especial is an extra anejo tequila, the designation reserved for blue weber agave spirit that has spent at least three years in oak. Dos Artes is as well known for its packaging as its liquid, with each litre bottle hand-painted in Mexico and worth keeping once it is empty. Three years of wood puts this firmly in after-dinner territory. The nose is toasted oak, vanilla and dried fig. The palate is caramel, dark chocolate and roasted agave with clove behind it, and the finish is long, sweet and oak-driven. Drink it neat in a tasting glass and leave the mixers alone.
