About this bottle
Tapatío Añejo is aged in oak for over a year at La Alteña, the Camarena family's traditionalist distillery in Arandas, Jalisco. Extended barrel time adds caramel, vanilla, and light oak spice on top of the brand's characteristically robust, cooked-agave base, resulting in a fuller, more assertive Añejo than many commercial releases built for a smoother, more neutral profile. It's a strong choice for tequila drinkers who want real agave presence to come through even after a year-plus in wood.
How to drink Tapatío Añejo
Sip it neat or over one large cube to let the oak and robust agave character balance out. Its fuller style holds up well even with a little dilution.
