Hugo Noir XXO Cognac 25 year 700mL

Hugo Noir XXO is a cognac carrying a twenty-five-year age statement, which places it well past the X.O minimum and into the territory where the oldest eaux-de-vie in a blend begin to dominate everything around them. Time in French oak does the work at this level: the fruit dries out, the wood turns to spice, and the texture thickens noticeably in the glass. Expect dried fig, walnut and cocoa on the nose, a palate of candied orange, leather, toffee and old oak, and a long, gently drying finish. Serve it neat at room temperature in a tulip glass, and give it ten minutes before the first sip.
