About this bottle

Remy Martin V (VSOP) is a Cognac from the house of Rémy Martin, sourced entirely from Grande and Petite Champagne — the two chalkiest, most prized crus of the Cognac region, a designation the house calls Fine Champagne. The blend brings together more than a hundred eaux-de-vie aged a minimum of four and a half years in French oak. Expect dried fruit, toasted almond and baking spice layered over a soft, honeyed sweetness, with oak holding the finish together. It's a workhorse VSOP: substantial enough to sip slowly, versatile enough to build a cocktail around, and a reliable step up from an entry-level Cognac.

How to drink Remy Martin V

Try it in a French Connection — equal parts Cognac and amaretto over ice — or take it on the rocks to open up the fruit. A wide-bowled snifter warmed briefly in the hand shows off the aromatics best.

Questions about this bottle

What's the best way to serve Remy Martin V?

Serve it neat or with a single large ice cube in a tulip glass or snifter, which lets the aromas develop without diluting the spirit too quickly.

What cocktails work well with Remy Martin V?

It holds up well in a Sidecar or French Connection, and its VSOP-level aging gives it enough body to stand up to citrus and orange liqueur.

How is Remy Martin V aged?

It's aged a minimum of 4.5 years, meeting VSOP aging requirements, and blended from eaux-de-vie grown in the Cognac region.

What grapes go into Remy Martin V?

Rémy Martin sources its eaux-de-vie exclusively from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus of Cognac — a combination known as Fine Champagne — prized for the chalky soil that shapes the spirit's floral character.
