Elizabeth Fig is John Emerald Distilling's fig liqueur, made from locally grown figs blended with rosehips and bottled at 43% ABV. The nose is ripe, fruity fig with a soft floral lift from the rosehips, and the palate follows through lush and sweet, led by the fig with the floral note running underneath rather than out front. It finishes smooth, with a gentle floral aftertaste trailing the sweetness. Part of the same Elizabeth line as the distillery's pecan liqueur and vodka, it's built for drinkers who want a fruit-forward liqueur with more complexity than a straight fig syrup.

How to drink Elizabeth Fig Liqueur

Try it in a fig Old Fashioned or shaken into a sour with lemon and egg white — the rosehip note also holds up well served over ice. A small neat pour after dinner also lets the fig stand on its own.
