Los Siete Misterios Doba-Yej is an artisanal mezcal from Oaxaca, Mexico, made from wild-harvested agave hand-selected by the brand's network of small-scale producers. "Doba-Yej" is the Zapotec name for the Tobala agave variety used in this bottling, a small wild agave prized for its intensity and long maturation time compared to farmed Espadin. The agave is roasted in an underground pit, crushed by hand or with a stone tahona, and distilled in traditional copper or clay stills, producing a complex, deeply smoky spirit with real earthy and fruity depth.
