About this bottle
Black Art 10.1 is a 29-year-old unpeated single malt Scotch, the tenth chapter in Bruichladdich's most secretive series. Head distiller Adam Hannett composes each Black Art from casks he refuses to disclose — no maturation recipe, no cask breakdown, just the liquid and a vintage, here 1992. The result lands at 45.1% ABV, un-chill-filtered and natural in color. Aromas run to apricot, orange peel, and flaky pastry; the palate turns to nutty barley, gentle oak, and a jammy sweetness that never tips into heavy. This is an elegant dram rather than a loud one, built for slow attention. Give it a glass with room and no ice, and let the fruit open over twenty minutes.
