About this bottle

The Dalmore 18 Year is a Highland single malt Scotch built on the distillery's signature sherry-cask maturation. It spends its early years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then moves into Matusalem oloroso sherry casks from Gonzalez Byass, where it takes on the depth that defines the house style. The nose leads with orange marmalade, dark chocolate and dried fruit; the palate turns to toffee, coffee, cinnamon and raisin; the finish runs long on oak spice and sherried sweetness. Bottled at 43%, it carries its 18 years without heaviness. This is an after-dinner Scotch: pour it neat in a tulip glass and give it ten minutes to open, no water needed.

How to drink Dalmore 18 Year

If you want to compare cask influence, try it alongside a younger Dalmore 12 Year — the extra six years of sherry cask time is easy to taste side by side. A wide tumbler works if you don't have a tulip glass on hand.
