About this bottle
Dos Artes Reserva Especial Anejo — an anejo tequila from the Jalisco Highlands in a one-liter hand-painted ceramic bottle — treats the vessel as seriously as the liquid. No two bottles match: each ceramic is painted individually by Mexican artists, the "two arts" the name promises. Inside is 100% Blue Weber agave tequila rested roughly 18 to 22 months in American and French oak, and the barrel does the talking — butterscotch, vanilla, baked agave and a soft leathery sweetness that lands closer to a dessert whiskey than a typical anejo. It's bottled at 40 percent.
How to drink Dos Artes Reserva Especial Anejo
Serve neat in a snifter and give it time to open — with that much barrel influence, it's closer to sipping a fine brandy than a typical tequila.
