El Tesoro Reposado is a highland tequila from La Alteña, the Camarena family distillery in Arandas, rested nine to eleven months in ex-bourbon American oak. The agave is tahona-crushed and fermented with its fibers, an old method that keeps the plant's character front and center, and the tequila is confirmed additive-free. Longer barrel time than most reposados pushes it toward grilled fruit and orange-blossom honey on the nose, then butterscotch, light smoke, and toasted oak across a juicy palate, closing warm and gently spiced. Bottled at 80 proof, it bridges the fresh side of blanco and the wood of an anejo. Sip it neat, or build it into a Tommy's Margarita where the oak adds backbone.

How to drink El Tesoro Reposado

Its longer-than-usual reposado aging means it can take a single ice cube without going thin, unlike lighter reposados. It also pairs naturally with grilled or smoked food, since the toasted oak and light smoke in the glass echo what's on the plate.
