Rhum JM 2012 French Oak Finish #1212 750 ML

Rhum J.M's 2012 French Oak Finish is a Martinique agricole rhum from the estate at the foot of Mount Pelée, where the cane grows in volcanic soil and is pressed within about an hour of cutting. After ageing, the rhum is finished in French oak, which brings tighter grain and more tannin than the ex-bourbon barrels agricole usually rests in. The nose is cane juice, cocoa and dried fig; the palate is dry and structured, with toffee, black pepper, banana and a green vegetal core; the finish is long and carries oak spice. Serve it neat, at room temperature, in a glass that gives it room to breathe.
