Brugal XV is a Dominican rum from Brugal, blended from reserve stocks aged in white American oak casks that previously held bourbon. It finishes long and balanced rather than sweet, closer to a sipping whiskey in structure than a mixing rum. Brugal has been distilling in Puerto Plata, on the Dominican Republic's north coast, since 1888, and XV represents the more mature end of their standard range.
