GlenDronach Grandeur is a very old, small-batch single malt Scotch whisky from GlenDronach, released periodically in numbered batches with different age statements; this bottling carries a 27 year age statement. It's matured in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, the hallmark of GlenDronach's house style, for far longer than the distillery's standard range. Expect a nose of dark dried fruit, leather, and dark chocolate, a rich, dense palate with sherry, spice, and old oak, and a very long, warming finish. It's built for serious whisky drinkers and collectors rather than casual sipping.
