About this bottle
Flor de Caña 4 Year Extra Seco is a light, dry rum from the Chichigalpa, Nicaragua distillery, aged four years in white oak barrels before charcoal filtration strips most of the color and heavier congeners back out — the "extra seco" (extra dry) style. That filtration after aging is the key move: the rum keeps some barrel-derived smoothness and light oak character while staying nearly clear and drier than a typical gold or aged rum. Expect a delicate aroma of vanilla and oak, a light, dry palate, and a clean finish with a touch of sweetness. Flor de Caña remains family-owned and Fair Trade and carbon-neutral certified, controlling production from its own sugarcane fields.
How to drink Flor de Caña 4 Year Extra Seco
Its dry, light profile makes it a strong daiquiri or mojito base — cleaner and less sweet than most white rums in a classic cocktail.
