About this bottle
Grand Mayan Extra Aged Añejo is made from 100% blue agave and matured a minimum of two years in oak, well past the standard añejo minimum, giving it a smooth, rich profile with real depth from the extended barrel time. Expect dark caramel, toasted oak, and dried fruit layered over the agave's natural sweetness, closer to a fine brandy than a typical mixing tequila. Like the rest of the Grand Mayan range, it's bottled in a hand-blown glass decanter with a unique, one-of-a-kind design. This is a sipping tequila built for the glass, not the blender.
How to drink Grand Mayan Extra Aged Añejo
Pour it neat in a snifter and let the two years of oak show fully — this isn't a tequila that needs lime or salt. If you want it in a drink at all, a simple Tequila Old Fashioned is as far as it should go.

Questions about this bottle
How should I drink Grand Mayan Añejo?
Sip it neat or on a single large ice cube in a rocks glass, the way you'd drink a young whiskey, rather than as a shot.
What does the añejo designation mean for this bottle?
Añejo tequila must be aged in oak for a minimum of one year by Mexican regulation; Grand Mayan's añejo is aged at least two years, longer than that minimum, which deepens its caramel and dried-fruit character.
What cocktails work well with Grand Mayan Añejo?
An añejo like this works well in a tequila Old Fashioned, where its oak character stands in for whiskey.
