About this bottle
JJ Corry The Gael is an Irish whiskey from JJ Corry, a whiskey bonder brand revived by Louise McGuane and named after a real bonder who operated out of Bellbridge House in County Clare during the 1800s, when independent bonders sourced casks from distilleries and matured or blended them under their own label rather than distilling themselves. The Gael follows that tradition, sourcing Irish whiskey and finishing it across a mix of cask types before bottling at 46% ABV. Expect the honeyed, orchard-fruit character typical of Irish whiskey, layered with vanilla and a light spice from the cask selection.
How to drink JJ Corry The Gael
Drink it neat or with a few drops of water to open the orchard-fruit and honey notes fully. It also makes a smoother Irish whiskey Sour than a harsher, younger blend, since the cask selection gives it more roundness.
