About this bottle
Olmeca Altos Reposado is a 100% blue agave tequila from Los Altos (the Highlands) of Jalisco, Mexico, produced using traditional methods including tahona-crushed agave in part of the process. It rests a minimum of two months in American oak barrels — a shorter reposado ageing than many competitors — which keeps the agave character front and center while adding a light layer of oak. Expect cooked agave and citrus with vanilla and caramel building underneath, and a smooth, mellow finish. It's built as a bartender's tequila: affordable enough for well pours, good enough to sip neat.
How to drink Olmeca Altos Reposado
It was built with bartenders in mind, so a classic Margarita or Paloma shows it at its best — the short oak time keeps the agave from getting buried. Neat over ice works too if you want to taste it on its own.
