About this bottle

Patrón Cristalino is a 100% agave tequila from Patrón's distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, made by aging the spirit in oak and then charcoal-filtering it to strip the color back to clear while keeping the barrel-aged flavor underneath. That process gives it the look of a blanco but the rounded, oak-influenced character of an aged tequila, splitting the difference between the two styles. Expect cooked agave sweetness layered with vanilla and light oak spice from the barrel time, without the deeper caramel weight a standard anejo shows once its color is left intact. It's built for drinkers who want aged tequila's smoothness without the visual cue of a dark, heavily oaked pour.

How to drink Patrón Cristalino

Sip it neat or over a single rock to appreciate the oak character its clear color hides — treating it like a blanco and shooting it wastes the barrel time that defines it. It also makes an unusually smooth Paloma, since the light oak sweetness rounds out the grapefruit and lime.
