About this bottle
Ruffino Riserva Ducale Oro is a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione from Ruffino, one of Tuscany's most established wine houses, sold here in a large 1.5-liter format. It sits at the top of Chianti Classico's quality hierarchy, made primarily from Sangiovese grapes grown in Ruffino's own estate vineyards and aged longer than a standard Chianti Classico Riserva before release. Expect dark cherry and plum fruit layered with leather, tobacco and dried herb notes typical of well-aged Sangiovese, with firm tannins and real structure. It's built for cellaring as much as immediate drinking, and for pairing with substantial Italian food.
How to drink Ruffino Riserva Ducale Oro
Serve it at cool room temperature, around 60-65°F, and let it breathe for 30-45 minutes or decant it if you have the time — its firm tannins soften with air. Pair it with braised meats, aged pecorino, or a classic Bolognese.
