About this bottle
Solarum Extra Añejo Cristalino is a barrel-aged tequila from Arandas, in Jalisco's red-soil highlands, made from 100% blue agave and finished with edible 24-karat gold flakes suspended in the bottle. Cristalino tequila goes through charcoal filtration after aging, which strips the amber color while keeping most of the barrel's vanilla and caramel character intact — the result looks close to a blanco but drinks with real extra añejo depth. Expect oak and vanilla up front, softened tannins from the filtration, and a clean agave finish underneath. The gold is theater; the tequila underneath is a genuinely long-aged sipper. Pour it for the person who wants a showpiece bottle that still holds up neat.
How to drink Solarum Extra Añejo Cristalino
Pour it neat in a snifter or copita and let the gold flakes settle before you drink — they're for the eye, not the palate. Because the charcoal filtration already smoothed out the harsher wood tannins, it doesn't need ice to soften it; save that for a blanco. This is a gifting and display bottle as much as a sipper.
