About this bottle
Wyoming Whiskey National Parks No. 5 is the fifth release in the Kirby, Wyoming distillery's ongoing series honoring America's national parks, this edition inspired by the Grand Tetons. It's a 5-year-old straight bourbon bottled at 96 proof, distilled and matured entirely in Wyoming. Expect baked honey cruller and cinnamon sugar on the nose with hints of baked orange and almond, moving into almond and cherry liqueur, honeyed sweetness and vanilla whip on the palate, finishing with warming cinnamon spice, espresso, milk chocolate and a hint of leather. A bourbon for collectors following the National Parks series as much as for the whiskey itself.
How to drink Wyoming Whiskey National Parks No. 5
Neat, in a rocks glass, is the way to catch the full run from honeyed cruller through to the espresso-and-leather finish — 96 proof has enough body to take a single cube if you want it cold, but start without ice first.
