Bardstown Bourbon Company Fusion Series #6 is the sixth release in the line that blends the distillery's own young Kentucky bourbon with older sourced Kentucky stock — the point being that youth brings brightness and grain, age brings the oak, and the blend is where they meet. Bardstown is unusually open about its blending, which is part of why the Fusion releases get tracked release to release. Vanilla, orchard fruit and sweet grain on the nose; caramel and cinnamon over lively young spice with oak sitting behind; a dry, spicy, medium-long finish. Pour it neat to read the blend, then make a bright, spice-forward old fashioned.
