Redbreast Lustau Edition is a single pot still Irish whiskey from the Redbreast range, distilled at Midleton Distillery and finished in oloroso sherry butts sourced from the Spanish sherry house Bodegas Lustau. Single pot still whiskey is a distinctly Irish style made from a mixed mash of malted and unmalted barley, giving it a spicier, oilier texture than a typical Irish blend. Expect dried fruit, toasted nuts and sherry-driven spice on the nose, a rich, oily palate with baking spice and stewed fruit, and a long, warming, nutty finish. It's a step up in richness from the standard 12 Year Redbreast.

Neat, in a tulip glass, is the way to catch the sherry spice fully — the oily pot still texture also carries well over a single large ice cube.
