About this bottle

DAOU Discovery Collection Rosé 2020 is a California rosé from DAOU's Paso Robles estate, blended from Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah grown in the Adelaida District's chalky, mineral-rich soil. The Discovery Collection is DAOU's easy-drinking, everyday tier, built for approachability rather than cellaring. In the glass it's pale pink with aromas of strawberry, watermelon, and white peach; the palate is light and crisp, running through raspberry, melon, and citrus before a clean finish with a trace of minerality. It's a warm-weather wine, best poured cold and drunk within its first couple of years.

How to drink DAOU Discovery Collection Rosé 2020

Serve it well-chilled, around 45–50°F, in a white wine glass so the fruit stays forward. It's built for the table — grilled shrimp, a goat cheese salad, or anything with fresh herbs will play well against the citrus and watermelon notes. This isn't a rosé built to age, so drink it now rather than saving it.
