About this bottle
Cazadores Extra Añejo is the top tier of the brand's lineup, made from 100% blue agave grown in the Jalisco highlands and aged a minimum of three years in American oak — the legal threshold that separates Extra Añejo from the standard Añejo category, and a genuinely long rest for tequila. That extended aging pushes it much closer to a fine brandy or aged whiskey in weight and complexity: dried fruit, cocoa, and deep oak layered over the cooked-agave base, with far more caramel and baking spice than the brand's Reposado. Built for slow sipping rather than mixing, it's a real step up from Cazadores' more familiar mid-shelf bottlings.
How to drink Cazadores Extra Añejo
Serve it neat in a snifter, the way you'd treat an aged whiskey or brandy — three years of oak deserves to be tasted straight. Skip the salt and lime entirely here.
