Pieve Santa Restituta Rennina is a Brunello di Montalcino from the Tuscan estate owned by the Gaja family, made from 100% Sangiovese grown on the estate's Rennina vineyard in Montalcino. Brunello requires extended aging, including time in large Slavonian oak casks, which softens Sangiovese's naturally high tannin and acidity while preserving its structure. Expect cherry, dried herbs and leather on the nose, a firm, structured palate with red fruit and fine tannin, and a long, savory finish. It's a serious, age-worthy Tuscan red from one of Italy's most respected producers.
