About this bottle
Viña Tondonia 'La Bosconia' Reserva 2007 comes from R. López de Heredia, one of Rioja's most traditional and historic producers, made primarily from Tempranillo grown on the estate's Bosconia vineyard and aged for years in American oak before release, following the house's famously old-school, patient release schedule. Expect dried cherry, leather, tobacco and a signature savory, slightly oxidative character on the nose, a firm, structured palate with fine tannin and dried red fruit, and a long, earthy finish. A benchmark for traditional-style Rioja aged well past when most producers would release it.
