Apothic Pinot Noir is a California red built in the same house style that made the brand's dark blends popular: soft, fruit-forward and easy to drink young. The 2022 vintage draws on Pinot Noir grown across the state's cooler coastal pockets, where fog slows ripening and keeps acidity intact. The nose opens with black cherry, raspberry and a little baking spice. The palate stays plush rather than tannic, with red fruit, vanilla and a hint of mocha carrying through a rounded, gently sweet finish. Serve it lightly chilled, about an hour out of the fridge, alongside roast chicken, mushroom pasta or a charcuterie board.
