Appleton Estate Reserve Blend is an aged rum from Appleton Estate in Jamaica's Nassau Valley, one of the island's oldest and most respected rum producers, blending column and pot still rum aged a minimum of eight years in ex-bourbon barrels. Jamaican rum is known for its pronounced, funky ester character compared to lighter Spanish-style rums, and Appleton's house style keeps that funk in balance rather than stripping it out. Expect banana, dried fruit and light funk on the nose, a rich, rounded palate with caramel and baking spice, and a warm, moderately long finish.
