Bernheim Wheat Whiskey Batch C925 750ml

Bernheim Wheat Whiskey is Heaven Hill's Kentucky straight wheat whiskey, built around soft winter wheat as the primary grain instead of the corn that fronts a bourbon mash. This is a batch bottling, carried under the batch code C925, so each release reads a little differently from the last. Toasted grain, honey and vanilla come first on the nose. The palate is soft bread crust and caramel with stewed apple sitting behind it, and there is far less rye pepper than a bourbon drinker expects. The finish is gentle, sweet and lightly spiced. Drink it neat at room temperature, or let it soften a whiskey sour that would otherwise turn sharp.
