Bogle Essential Red 750ml

Bogle Essential Red is the California red blend from a family that has farmed the Clarksburg delta for six generations, an area cooled every afternoon by breezes off the Sacramento River that keep acidity in fruit which would otherwise ripen flat. Blending across varieties lets the winery build for balance rather than lean on one grape. The nose is blackberry, plum and vanilla. The palate is ripe dark fruit with mocha and soft baking spice, tannins are supple rather than grippy, and the finish is smooth, round and moderately long. This is a weeknight bottle in the best sense. Serve it at cool room temperature with burgers, pizza, barbecue or a bowl of chili.
