Chinaco Reposado is a 100% blue agave tequila made in Tamaulipas, one of the small handful of Mexican states outside the core Jalisco heartland approved for tequila production — an unusual origin that gives Chinaco a genuine point of difference among reposados. It is rested roughly eight months in American oak barrels, softening the spirit with oak, vanilla, and caramel over the base agave. Expect a smooth, mellow palate with a warm, rounded finish, reflecting Chinaco's reputation as one of the older, more traditional tequila houses rather than a newer celebrity brand. It suits both neat sipping and cocktails built around a tequila with real character.
