Corsair Tennessee Single Malt is an American single malt carrying a one-year age statement, made by the Nashville distillery that has spent its whole existence pushing at the edges of the category with quinoa whiskey, smoked malts and hopped mash bills. Single malt here means what it means everywhere: one distillery, one grain, malted barley, with the young age printed on the label rather than hidden. Expect malted cereal, honey and a little orchard fruit on the nose, a palate of biscuit, vanilla and toasted grain with the oak still sitting light, and a clean, quick finish. Drink it neat in a glencairn, or lengthen it in a highball with soda.
