Don Julio Añejo is an aged tequila from the Don Julio distillery in Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, made from 100% blue Weber agave. It rests in American white oak barrels for a minimum of 18 months, well past the legal minimum for the añejo category, which softens the agave and layers in real barrel character. Expect vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak up front, with cooked agave and a touch of dried fruit underneath, closing on a smooth, gently spiced finish. This 375ml bottle is a convenient half-size way to keep an aged, sipping-quality tequila on hand.
How to drink Don Julio Añejo
