About this bottle

Where most añejos settle into one barrel style, Casa Dragones Añejo Barrel Blend is a 100% blue agave sipping tequila built from two — separate maturations in new French oak and new American oak, blended into a single 80 proof pour. The house's tasting language is specific: floral pear and fig on the nose with almond, macadamia and nutmeg over blackberry on the palate, and a long round finish of cacao and spicy black pepper. The oak stays a frame here rather than the picture, so the agave still reads through the barrel. Take it neat or over one large cube — the house's own recommendation — and let the aromatics open as it melts.

Questions about this bottle

What's the best way to serve Añejo Barrel Blend?

Serve it at room temperature in a tequila glass or small tumbler, not ice-cold — chilling mutes the agave character.

What cocktails work well with Añejo Barrel Blend?

Its oak and caramel notes make it a good fit for a Tequila Old Fashioned, though it's also poured neat.

What's distinctive about Añejo Barrel Blend's aging?

It's blended from tequila aged separately in new French oak and new American oak barrels, rather than a single barrel type.
