Dueling Grounds Distillery American Dry Gin Barrel Aged 750 ml

Dueling Grounds Barrel Aged is the rested version of the distillery's American dry gin, made in Franklin, Kentucky. Barrel-aged gin is one of the more useful things a whiskey state can do with a gin still: time in wood softens the juniper, adds colour and vanilla, and pushes the spirit into territory where it can stand in for whiskey in a stirred drink. The nose is juniper and citrus peel with vanilla and light oak. The palate is botanical spice sitting over caramel and toasted wood, and the finish is warm, oaky and dry. Stir it into a negroni or a martinez, or pour it neat over one large cube.
