Ezra Brooks is a long-standing Kentucky label now produced at Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown, and a single barrel bottling shows what one specific cask did over its time in the rickhouse rather than an averaged house style. Expect vanilla, caramel and toasted oak on the nose, a palate of brown sugar, cinnamon, dark cherry and oak, and a medium, warm finish carrying char. It makes an easy gift, and it drinks neat or over one large cube.
