Fattoria dei Barbi Rosso di Montalcino DOC is a full-bodied red wine made from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the Montalcino region of Tuscany, Italy. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and then for an additional 6 months in the bottle before release. It has aromas of ripe red fruit, spices, and leather, with flavors of cherry, raspberry, and tobacco. The tannins are well-integrated and the finish is long and lingering. This is a great wine to pair with grilled meats, pasta dishes, and aged cheeses.
