About this bottle
Frey Ranch Bourbon is made on a working farm in Fallon, Nevada, where the Frey family grows every grain it distils - corn, rye, wheat and barley all raised in the same fields, then milled, fermented and distilled on site. That estate approach is rare in American whiskey and it shows up as a grainy, bread-like depth sitting under the sweetness. This Dragon Slayer bottling is a private single-barrel pick, so it reflects one cask rather than a blend of many. Expect a nose of corn bread, honey and orchard fruit, a palate of caramel, cinnamon, toasted nuts and dry oak, and a long finish of baking spice. Neat first, then a large cube.
