Grind Espresso Shot Mocha is a coffee liqueur built for the shot glass, with chocolate layered over the espresso base to soften the roast. Where a classic coffee liqueur leans bitter and syrupy, the mocha style splits the difference — enough sugar and cocoa to drink cold and straight, enough real coffee character to keep it from reading as dessert in a bottle. The nose is roasted coffee and milk chocolate; the palate is espresso, cocoa and light caramel sweetness; the finish is smooth with a gentle roasted bitterness. It is easiest ice cold. Keep the bottle chilled and pour it neat, or drop it into an espresso martini.
