Isle of Raasay Cask Share Limited Release Unpeated Ex-Rye Whiskey Cask 19/921 700 ml

This is a single cask of unpeated Isle of Raasay single malt matured in an ex-rye whiskey cask, number 19/921, released through the distillery's Cask Share programme. Raasay is a young Hebridean distillery that splits its make between peated and unpeated spirit and fills into an unusually varied set of wood. Rye casks bring a spice that barley would never give on its own: expect dill and baking spice sitting over malt on the nose, a palate of cereal sweetness, black pepper and orchard fruit, and a dry, peppery finish. Pour it neat first, then open it up with a few drops of water.
