Lunazul Primero Tequila Anejo Cristalino 750 ml

Lunazul Primero is an añejo cristalino tequila from Jalisco: añejo spirit aged in oak, then filtered back to clear so it keeps the barrel's flavour while losing the colour. The result drinks like a rested tequila with the edges polished off, which is exactly what the style is for. The nose is cooked agave, vanilla and a light toffee sweetness; the palate is smooth and rounded, with caramel, baked pear and soft oak spice over a still-legible agave base; the finish is gentle, sweet and short on burn. Serve it chilled and neat in a copita, or over a large cube. It is a good bridge bottle for whiskey drinkers.
