Maker's Mark Private Selection Yam Jam by Kelsey Plum 2026 750 ml

Maker's Mark Private Selection is the distillery's custom-finishing program: a fully matured barrel of the house wheated bourbon goes back into the limestone cellar with additional oak staves chosen by whoever is making the pick, and it finishes there through a Kentucky winter. This one, Yam Jam, was selected by basketball guard Kelsey Plum. Wheat instead of rye keeps the base soft, and the extra staves stack caramelised sugar and toasted spice on top: baked pear and brown butter on the nose, candied nuts and vanilla across the palate, then dry oak and cinnamon on the finish. Pour it neat, or over one big cube.
