Rey Del Mundo Tequila Reposado 750 ml
About this bottle
Rey Del Mundo Tequila Reposado is an aged tequila from the Rey Del Mundo brand, rested in oak barrels past the minimum two months required for the reposado category before bottling. That barrel time is what separates a reposado from an unaged blanco, enough contact with wood to round out the raw agave edge without fully masking it the way a longer-aged anejo would. Expect cooked agave and vanilla on the nose, caramel and light oak spice on the palate, and a smooth, moderately warm finish. It's a solid middle-ground tequila, more depth than a blanco, still light enough to work in a cocktail as well as neat.
How to drink Rey Del Mundo Reposado
It's balanced enough to sip neat or on a single rock, but it also holds up in an Old Fashioned built with tequila instead of whiskey if you want to see the oak and agave play against bitters.

Questions about this bottle
What's the difference between reposado and blanco tequila?
Reposado is rested in oak barrels for at least two months (often longer), which adds color and mellows the raw agave character that blanco tequila keeps fully unaged.
What cocktails work well with a reposado tequila?
Its oak and caramel notes hold up well in a tequila Old Fashioned or a Paloma, and it's smooth enough to sip neat or over one rock as well.
