The name on Shenk's Homestead Kentucky Sour Mash Whiskey reaches back to 1753, when Swiss Mennonite farmer John Shenk founded the Pennsylvania distillery that would eventually become Michter's. Today's Shenk's honors that history as an annual limited release: a Kentucky sour mash whiskey — a bourbon-adjacent style free to use barrels bourbon cannot — with a component matured in specially toasted oak that changes by vintage, chinquapin one year, air-dried French oak another. Across releases the through-line holds steady: caramel, toffee, dried fruit and baking spice over a soft, honeyed base. Shenk's moves quickly when it hits shelves each year. Pour it neat beside a standard bourbon and taste what the sour-mash label leaves room for.

        What is your standard shipping rate?

        What do I do if my order arrives damaged?

        • Email us a picture at Support@liquorverse.com and we will make sure to send you a replacement bottle ASAP!

        What do I do if a courier does not deliver my package?

        • On rare occasions couriers will mishandle your package and deem it damaged before it arrives and send it back to our warehouse. If this happens to you, please send us an email at support@liquorverse.com. We will send you a new bottle!
